Individual Exercise

The Individual Exercise Program includes our health & wellness individual training sessions and the health & wellness screening.

Individual training sessions are scheduled with our health & wellness specialists or consultants to maximize attention to details that can be the difference in achieving the quality of life you desire. Whether your needs include reducing body fat, increasing lean muscle mass, or simply increasing range of motion, our experts in the field will use nutrition, exercise, education, and even some motivation to reach your goals.

Group Exercise Level Guide

Beginner

For those just beginning an exercise program, these classes will teach you the fundamentals of each format.

Intermediate

For those currently exercising regularly, these classes will utilize additional choreography and move at a faster pace.

Advanced

For those who feel they have mastered the technique and forms of group exercise and are ready to progress to a higher level.

All Levels

These classes allow participants to work at their own pace and comfort level.

  1 BODYATTACK :The globally know, world-class BODYATTACK is the sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone towards their fitness goals-from the weekend athlete to the hard-core competitor! All Levels.
 
       
       
  1 Pilates AbSolutions : This class will focus on developing core strength and stability.  You will strengthen all of your abdominal muscles as well as your back to keep you strong and balanced.  Strong abs will help protect you from injury, improve your posture and make daily activities easier.   Enhance your athletic performance by learning how to breathe properly, how to relax and how to gain flexibility. Nutritional Counseling  
  1 The Nutritional Counseling Program addresses the need to strive toward health & wellness goals using all means possible. Exercise alone will show improvement, however, combined with a proper diet, results will be all the more pronounced.  
       
   

By the Numbers is a weight management program based on each client's individual Metabolic Rate. This technology provides a handheld, portable indirect calorimeter that measures oxygen consumption and determines resting metabolic rate.

 
    Accurate measurement of oxygen consumption and energy requirements serves as an ideal basis for nutritional assessment and medically supervised weight management programs.  
       
    The Nutritional Services Department at WCH also offers  
    Diet Education suitable to any special nutritional need and the WHY WEIGHT - Weight Loss program

      Specialized Programming  
     

Specialized Programming (SP) relates to specific health conditions that may exist and require focused attention. Included in SP is Massotherapy, Phase IV Cardiac Rehab, and Pre/Post-pregnancy classes.

Massotherapy is a systematic manual application of pressure and movement to the body's various types of soft tissue. It encourages healing by promoting the flow of blood and lymph, relieving tension, stimulating nerves, and relaxing muscle. Massage can provide relief from symptoms of anxiety, tension, depression, insomnia, and stress as well as back and neck pain, muscular pain, and some forms of chronic pain.

Pre/Post Pregnancy Care Series This series has been developed by the health professionals at Wooster Community Hospital's HealthPoint facility to address multiple pre/post pregnancy needs. It incorporates educational sessions, land and aquatic exercises, and massotherapy appointments. All event are designed to help achieve a healthy mom and baby.
