Ways YOU can Help

Wooster Community Hospital takes pride in serving our community; one that is rich in traditions and opportunities. We, the community, are privileged to have so many resources in our own backyard and our lives would be so different without them. The newest medical technologies are being utilized at Wooster Community Hospital, educational forums are presented at The College of Wooster, and adventures in the arts are available at Wayne Center for the Arts. These are but a few examples of things that make Wooster a special and desirable place.. Whether you make a cash gift, donate some time, or attend an event, your support is greatly appreciated and needed.

People in our community, like Julia Fishelson, make a difference in our quality of life - our human comforts. Julia, a constant philanthropist, eagerly supports her community. Born and raised in Wooster, Ohio, Julia takes pride in giving back to the community in which she loves. By researching issues that are near and dear to her heart, volunteering at her favorite organizations in town, and by supporting programs that make a difference in her community, Julia sets a fine example for others to follow.

Julia is passionate about life, and living life to the fullest. "By being a volunteer and supporting organizations not only makes a difference to the community, but also makes you feel good at the end of the day," said Fishelson. "Giving back with your time and dollars is very rewarding."

Julia suggested the following ways that would allow anyone to make a difference:

  1. Attend community activities
  2. Volunteer at local organizations
  3. Make a gift (large or small) to support a program that has special meaning

Who Is at Risk?

Sometimes when you want it the least, your body needs it the most.  When you feel tired, worn out and stressed out, the last thing you feel like doing is driving down to your health club for an intense workout.  The fact is, this is exactly what you should do. 1
